DSCP and QoS on CatOS?

Unanswered Question
Oct 22nd, 2007

Hello:

I am currently running a 4006 with CatOS cat4000-k8.8-4-11-GLX at one of my sites.

I guess my main question is, what are the Auto Qos and DSCP capabilities of this switch? As far as I can tell, there is no Auto QoS. But I wanted to check with people that are more in the know than I am.

TIA,

Brad

I have this problem too.

The switches have limited qos capabilities, however, if you desire to connect the video server to the switch, you will need to upgrade the current code on the switch to support qos per the below link. Also, on the XL ports trust COS by default, if the Video server is connected to an access port (no cos present), then you will need to also configure the ''switchport priority default 4' to assign COS 4 to the video traffic.
