WAE 512 Disk Install

Hi,

I ordered an extra disk for a 512 with a single disk installed. Is there a procedure for installing the new disk and getting the Raid 1 built or can I power the WAE down install the disk power it on and watch it build the Raid?

Thanks Dan,

The only item it does not mention in the doc is the Raid configuration. Is the Raid already configured by default...remember I'm adding the second drive...it currently has been running and was purchased from Cisco with a single disk. According to TAC it's as easy as powering down the WAE, installing the new disk, powering on the WAE and watching it build the Raid. I should have the disks at the locations next week so I'll let you know how it goes.

Mike,

The RAID configuration is automatic. All you have to do is add the second disk.
