Unable to TFTP a file from a SUP720 to my Laptop - Says use RCP

Console> (enable) copy bootflash:cat6000-sup720k8.8-6-2.bin tftp

Name of file to copy to [cat6000-sup720k8.8-6-2.bin]?

the source file size is 18963896

The maximum file size supported by TFTP is 16M. Please use RCP.

1) Is there any trap / gotcha wit this?

This is merely a syntax issue. You must replace the keyword "tftp" by rcp.

The link below is for the 4000-series switches but it describes the procedure accurately:

I tried your suggestion and this what happens - probably because my server is a TFTP server. So where do I get RCP server software.

I did not expect to work because my Windows XP 192.168.1.10 has no RCP program installed. So where did this file go.

Where can I get a copy of RCP program for Windows XP with instructions on how to install and configure it.

Used FTP and that worked OK.

Just get a different tftp server , go here this works fine we have transferred sup 720 images with it and we all know how huge those are like almost 80 meg in size , the programers must have worked at microsoft . :-)
