upgrading IOS advise for 3508 switch

Have not done an ios upgrade for this switch in a while (AS YOU CAN See)...It is currently at the following IOS version:

Version 12.0(5)WC3b

Please let me know what IOS version I should upgrade this switch.

I also have a 2950G 48 ports, with ios version 12.1(13)EA1.

I need some advise what to upgrade and what ios to avoid??

For the 3508, the latest one available is

120-5.WC17 and for the 2950 it is 121-22.EA10a

BTW, is there any particular reason you want to upgrade your devices like a new feature support etc.

The NEw IOS would definitely have resolution to some known bugs and hence is recommended provided you have sufficient flash and memory.

Better to backup your current IOS just in case you need to revert them. Some old IOS may not be available in CCO now
