SSL VPN IP address issue

Hi,

we had configured the SSL VPN on Cisco ASA 5540 device. User gets connected to the firewall, gets an IP address and gets access to the LAN. BUT WHEN HE DISCONNECTS, THE VIRTUAL IP ADDRESS STILL REMAINS IN THE LAPTOP AND GOES OFF ONLY AFTER A REBOOT OF THE LAPTOP.

We expect the laptop to release the IP address and the Cisco virtual adapter to get disabled automatically when the user disconnects VPN.

Any help on this is highly appreciated

Karuna

Try to release and renew the adapter. In windows 2000 , xp this command is ipconfig / release , ipconfig/renew. Type ipconfig/ and hit enter for help on this command.
