Ephone-template

Hi. I want to check this with you guys before I battle through the mess into the comms room to do this.

I have:

ephone-template 1

softkeys idle Redial Newcall Gpickup..... etc

Thats great, the users are happy.

However some users, possibly all, want to lift the reciever and make use of certian softkeys like Gpickup for example. Can I edit the softkeys that are displayed when the reciever is lifted? What state is the phone in when the reciever is lifted? is it siezed?

Thanks!!

Yes, state is seized. I *that* that is the correct spelling, but I've seen others writing siezed. What is the truth ?

Yep thats the correct spelling :) Ok.. Ive just done:

UC520(config-ephone-template)#softkeys seized Redial EndCall Gpickup

But i still get the original softkeys when i lift the reciever. I've reset the phone and I get the same results... any ideas?

Have you applied the ephone-template under ephone ?

I hang my head in shame..

Can I have ephone-template 1 and ephone-template 2 together on an ephone? eg

ephone 5

ephone-template 1 idle option 1 option 2..

ephone-template 2 seized option 1 option 2..

Or do I have to do something like:

ephone-template 1

softkeys idle option 1 option 2 option 3

softkeys seized option 1 option 2 option 3

and then on ephone 5 just apply ephone template 1?
