Hi,

is there any converstation between the csm and a client in the event that a real server goes down. Normally an idle timer will terminate the conversation after a given time, but what if applications can't handle this? Is there an alternative to tell the client to close or give up his connection?

'failaction purge' in the serverfarm will tell the csm to send a reset to the client when the server fails.

This obviously only works for tcp.

For udp, the connection is simply being removed.

Gilles.
