Remote access using Robotics modem

Hi,looking for advice to connect to various 1700,2500,&3600 series routers via dialup. I get window, but no prompt. I've done following:

. changed cable (router to modem)

. reset options on modem

. rebooted router and modem

. cleared line aux 0

Any ideas, would appreciate the help.
