Tx Power Level on AP1100

Hello,

I changed the Tx power level on my AP from Global- 1 to custom -3. for both 802.11a & b/g. After this i noticed our internet stopped (VSAT modem). Not sure why the internet stopped, after 12 hours, i decided to change the Tx back to global and voila, inernet was back in 3 mins. The Wlan controller, router, AP and link from modem are all connected to a 2950 switch.

What is/are the effecta of chaning the Tx to custom and could this change have caused the problem or was it just a coincidence?

Can WLAN controllers do any routing.I was thinking of giving port 4 a public IP and connect directly to a router/modem.

Thanks

Can't do routing.... and don't know why changing the TX would affect the modem. Are you sure when you changed it to 3 that users were still associating to the AP?
