Hi All,

I have a Cisco 2621 with the following extract taken from a Show Ver for your information, telling you what memory I have....I am wanting to upgrade the IOS and put on the image below. Please can you tell me if this is possible and if the 2621 will even support the image?

Extract from Show Ver...

ROM: C2600 Software (C2600-I-M), Version 12.3(22), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

xxxxxxxxxxxxxx uptime is 38 weeks, 2 days, 51 minutes

System returned to ROM by reload at 12:45:27 UTC Tue Jan 30 2007

System restarted at 12:48:00 UTC Tue Jan 30 2007

System image file is "flash:c2600-i-mz.123-22.bin"

cisco 2621 (MPC860) processor (revision 0x100) with 45056K/4096K bytes of memory.

Processor board ID JAB03140A3B (1852908690)

M860 processor: part number 0, mask 49

Bridging software.

X.25 software, Version 3.0.0.

2 FastEthernet/IEEE 802.3 interface(s)

1 Serial network interface(s)

32K bytes of non-volatile configuration memory.

8192K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

And THIS is the image I would like to put on...(Reason behind this is to allow me to secure a GRE VPN tunnel)

c2600-advsecurityk9-mz.124-17.bin

Any pointers or advice would be appreciated.

No you can't. The DRAM and Flash requirements for that image are:

FLASH: 32MB [you have 8MB]

DRAM: 128MB [you have 48MB]

There were upgrades for DRAM and Flash, however they are now EOS/EOL. http://cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps593/prod_eol_notice0900aecd804b588d.html

HTH and please rate.
