We are currently using a Tasman router that is configured for a multimeg circuit. (Two T1's bound together) We want to use a Cisco 2600 version 12.1.9 as a backup. I asked a tech at Verizon for a configuration that could be used and he sent me one that uses a MFR interface and subinterface. These are to be encapsuled with frame relay and associated with the Serial0/0:0 and Serial0/1:0 subinterface on the device. The public IP address is attached to the MFR1.5 subinterface. The problem is a MFR1 interface is not listed in the commands. Multilink is there but only with PPP and Point to Point ecapsulation.Frame relay is not available. Multilink subinterfaces cannot be created. In addition the Controller command is there but doesn't offer any sub commands such as T1 0/0 or framing esf or linecode b8zs or channel-group 0 timeslots. Is there another way of configuring this or does version 12.1.9 or 12.1.2 for that matter offer any way of binding two T1 circuits together? A configuration, without the IP addresses of course, if there is one would be very much appreciated. Thanks

You might want to look into upgrading the IOS to the latest code.
Take a look at this link below for Multilink Frame Relay..
