2801 Forced to 10 MIPS?

I have to connect to a fiber system with a 2801 that only talks 10 MIPS, and doesn't play nice to negotiate with a 10/100 switch. I need to force the port to 10 MIPS so it can talk.

Can this be done? What do I need to do to accomplish this? I'm a non-network engineer forced to do network stuff for this project.

In the particular interface you can specifically use the command "speed auto", it will negotiate and match the other end port speed.

You can also go into the interface config and use:

speed 10

This will force it to 10.
