WAAS CM licensing basic question

Dear friends,

Just two questions on CM WAE appliance:

1. Does the WAE appliance require only Central Manager license (WAAS-CNTRL-MGR=) only or does it require Central Manager license + Transport / Enterprise license?

2. Can a lower WAE appliance model act as a CM and manage the other higher end WAE appliances? For example can a 512 CM manage a 612 WAE appliance?

Gautam,

1) Yes. The CM only requires a CM license.

2) Yes. A 512 CM can manage up to 500 devices, regardless of the model.
