ASA5520 arp issue

Hi,

ASA5520 is directly connected to 7600 router, IP .1 and .62 in same subnet. 7660 does not have mac/IP od ASA outside interface in his arp table, so it can not return packets to ASA. When we put ASA5505 with same software 7.2.2 and same configuration, everything is working! After issuing "no sysopt no proxyarp outside" on outside interface on ASA5520, arp is correctly resolivng, but NAT/PAT is not working, so we are on the same point again.

Is there any idea?

Hello,

Do you test clear arp-cache on the 7600 router?

yes,

it was the first thing on to-do list. But, still, 7600 could not get mac address from ASA5520. Only after disabling proxy arp on ASA5520, 7600 did get mac/IP on its arp table, but after that NAT was problematic

why don't use 7.2(3)?

Some collegue had issue with 7.2(2) with nat.

Customer demands is based on 7.2.2, so there wish is to have this version.
