isdn failiure

UK based, I have a vic2 2bri interface card. running CME 4.1. I cannot make an outgoing call, on either port I get the error Cause i = 0x82E4 - Invalid information element contents. I know that the Isdn line is good as we have used an Avaya system on the isdn2 and that works o.k. layer 1 and 2 is up and switch-type is basic net3.

if anyone has any ideas?

Hi,

Can you send the complete output of "debug isdn q931" ? You must be placing the calls with some wrong parameter, like type national instead of unknown, etc.

I have managed to correct the issue.

I needed compand type alaw command in the voice-port interface. many thanks for your help paolo
