Hi,
In VPLS, it's emulating a switch which means a single broadcast domain. What effects does it have for EIGRP? Lots of multicast traffic? Scalability is an issue?

In general it will behave exactly the same way as when you configure it in a LAN, now there are some issues to consider:
With VPLS in its "l2 vfi" form, you can setup a point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and full-mesh logical architecture. You should consider this in your EIGRP configuration because you may experience some "split horizon" on point-to-multipoint setup.
Also, depending on how many CEs you are going to be including in your deployment, it is always recommend to tune-up the routing protocol. For example, you may need to consider the hello timers, updates times, "ip bandwidth-percent eigrp percent" and others.

i read from somewhere, for eigrp deployments in a single broadcast domain, it's best to keep the CEs below 20-30. Why is that so? Or how true is this?
