what would be the most effecient way of testing individual channels in a PRI? The PRI is connected to a h323 gateway and we have CM 4.1(3).
The issue we are having is during busy time of the day some calls are not getting connected, our theory is that some of the voice channels may be bad and so would like to test each channel individually.

Hi Milan,
If you are testing PRI channels to the PSTN, I would normally open a change window and test with your provider (Telco). They should have the ability to use a "Channel Select" to test each PRI Channel on an individual basis. Doing this without their assistance will be an ardous task :)
Hope this helps!

if testing with telco was not a choice how would i go about testing it?

Your only choice is to place as many simultaneous outgoing calls and observe channel taken with "debug isdn q931" and results.
Alternatively you would have to reconfigure under controller to select only the channel range that you want the router to use. In theory, that can be as small as 1. That is exactly an arduous task a mentioned.
Likely you will find that in ISDN PRI rarely the cause of problems can be localized to a single channel.
hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
