7921G VoWLAN phone registration issues

Customer has four AP1242 autonomous access points running 12.3(11)JA4, downgraded from 12.4.10b JA and the 7921 phones will periodically re-register with the CCM 4.3 server. One phone will not get a DHCP address but will work if we statically address it. Customer is using WPA-PSK (TKIP) and even with no encryption, the problem continues. The 7921G phones were on firmware 1.03 and have been upgraded to 1.04 with no change in this registration issue.

I haven't seen too much to point me in the right direction and as this is a new installation, the Smartnet contracts are not registered yet.

I was seeing changes not being applied via the GUI on the newer code, so I back rev'd to 12.3.11JA4. Those issues are gone now.

Has anyone ran into this symptom?

A lot of people have that problem, and Cisco have to resolve these issue....

I did see that one. It does seem like it's something with the phone firmware. We've had issues with 1.03 that 1.04 fixed. I've done installations like this many times with 7920 phones and the configuration is solid, but it seems the 7921's are starting down a new path.
