how does PIM and OSPFv3 authenticate?

I need to run PIM and OSPFv3 on a pure IPv6 network. Can PIM and OSPFv3 leverages the IPsec functionality built in the IPv6 header for authentication and confidentiality?

It seems like you could configure authentication for OSPFv3 but not encryption on Cisco routers? why isn't the encryption function of IPsec supported?

I don't see PIM being configurable in any of the configuration guide. Why is that? Is there any other way to authenticate PIM?

RFC4552 pointed out several 'workarounds' to authenticate OSPFv3 messages. Is it implemented in Cisco routers?
