Policy Based Routing / 4503 with SUP II + TS

Hi

Can i perform policy based routing with 4503 switch having SUP II + TS or i need to have router to perform this PBR? kindly provide links to the documentation if possible.

Hi Ahmad,

Sup2+ will support PBR only till 12.2(25)SG. Starting 12.2(25)SG the SupII+ will NOT work with the Enhanced (enterprise services)image which is required for PBR. Sup2+ has a smaller TCAM capacity.

thanks for your reply. so that means,i cant perform PBR using this SUP engine.I need to have Router to perform PBR.

I need to route VPN traffic to specific path and MPLS traffic to other route.

Hi Ahmad,

Yes if your sup is running image which I specified in my previous post then sup2+ cannot do PBR and if you have a router then you have to use the router for the same.
