7609S with redundant sup 720-3B

Hi,

We have 7609S with redundant sup 720-3B working fine with active and standby hot position.

Now I want to club both the sup's gigaethernet interface with same ip address.

Can I do this? if yes than how

please suggess me

Hi Vineet,


You cannot have same ip address on both the interface individually but I believe you can configure layer 3 port channel and then assign an ip address to that port channel and finally bind both the gig interfaces to that port channel.
