normal icmp round trip time accross a PIX

Unanswered Question

- CoreSw is on Layer 3 (multiple vlans)

- PC Def Gateway = CoreSwitch

- PC route to the DMZ was done thru the command route add on Win XP which point directly to the PIX inside interface.

- PC and the PIX are on the same Vlan.

- Pinging from the PC to the Server which resides on the dmz is giving us 2 to 4ms.

- Is this round trip time normal?

- If not, then what is the normal ideal round trip time?

I have this problem too.

To my knowledge, the time between 2s to 5s is not round trip time. You can also check without the firewall and also check the any policy is enabled for icmp packet in pix.
