I have a 3750-48TS(main) and a 3750-24TS(secondary) and when the 24TS switch boots up it elects itself as the master, even though my 3750-48TS has already been elected as master. I set the 48PortSW to highest priority.
I can see ports all the ports on main switch, but the stack member switch cannot reconize the master switch(48port). Any suggestions?
Tia,
Fred

Hi Fred,
What problem does it imply exactly? The whole configuration is supposed to be driven from the master. In fact, L3 control protocols are centralized on the master. Only the L2 protocols run distributed, and those only need to see the local ports.

Yesterday, I reloaded the master switch on off production hours, everything works. When I originally posted, was trying to accomplish this without rebooting the switch. I learned that this was a simple fix. Thanks for your reply though.
