We're in the process of replacing legacy switches in our wiring closets with a bunch of 3560 switches. The switches were already ordered several months ago by the previous manager. He ordered a mix of WS-C3560G-24PS-S and WS-C3560G-48TS-S models.
He also left a design, which called for using the WS-C3560G-24PS-S at the distribution layer and the WS-C3560G-48TS-S at the access layer (yes, no provisions for PoE at the access layer which I found to be silly, but that's another thing)
My question is, will this be a bottleneck? Will the C3560G-24 have a lower throughput as opposed to the 48 port model?
