IOS for Cisco Catalyst 6500 Urgent!

Hi Experts,

I wonna upgrade my Cat6506 IOS.

But not sure which one would be suitable, as some IOS can result for new problems, even new ones. I have no chance for new challenges which can be come with new IOS. Cat 6500 works in production envirement. So i need tested IOS with good feedback.

I need

1. SSH

2. QOS and Auto QOS

3. Full Routing features

4. If possible basic MPLS (Optional)

There is show version from 6506

Hi,

My recommendation would be 12.2(18)SXF8 advanced ip services - non modular. This is the latest safe harbour release. It does have a few bugs but we have been using this image now for some time and have experience no problems.

Stay away from the modular IOS. It has to date failed all safe harbour testing and caused us some major problems.

12.2(33)SXH is the first 6500 IOS to support AutoQoS, however it is not SafeHarbor tested.

So if AutoQoS is a requirement, go with that.

Its been out since 20-Aug-07. Not too long.
