2811 - Flash (no device available)

Hi All

Just tried upgrading IOS on 2811 by putting CF card into reader on PC and copying IOS onto it.

PC reported CF needed formatting to use it so I formatted as FAT and copied IOS onto it.

Router boots up fine with new IOS image but a show flash command reports:

Router#show flash

%Error show flash: (No device available)

Any Ideas?

Hi

Have you tried just entering "dir" at the prompt to see where it thinks your image is.

I used a different flash card (but did exactly the same procedure) but this one works! So I'm sticking with the non cisco CF.
