Currently we have two different exchanges in our organization. We have a block of extensions that begin with 350 and a block of extensions that begin with 858. All within the same area code. We currently program each number with it's own external phone number mask. Is it possible to program call manager 4.1(3) to recognize the extension and automatically add the 3 digit exchange to it? It's possible on our old Avaya system. I've looked around CCM but haven't found the area to do this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Sounds like your in need of some digit manipulation. This can be done on your voice gateway's router. Using voice translations profiles you can change the DNIS, calling number, ANI adjust numbering type and a whole bunch of other good stuff.
