hello everyone, Ive been working to simulate a PSTN using a router. I used 3 2800 series routers with fxs and fxo ports. R1's fxo port is connected to R2's fxs port and R3's fxo port is connected to another fxs port on R2. In other words, R2 will act as the "PSTN". The goal is the establish a call from R1 to R3 via R2 using pots dial peer only coz there is no ip connectivity between R1 and R3. Is this possible? If yes, could you please provide the configs. Thanks guys.

Yes, it's absolutely possible. Configure your DP as usual, nothing special is required.
In cisco parlance, this is sometime referred as an 'hairpinned' call.
The only optional config you may want sometime to do is disable DSP for hairpinned calls:
voice-card X
voice local-bypass
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
