ISDN seems fuzzy to me.
I don't quite understand the configuration of ISDN and whatnot.
Anyone know it well enough to give a brief rundown?

hi
which part of the isdn config going out of the way ?
i feel the most common config lines which you will see with isdn config is ip address/encapsulation.
Other parameters deals with authentication part the mode of authentication.
identify interesting traffic and when to fire the isdn line.
When to disconnect if interesting traffic is not found.
usage of single channel or multiple channels available in an isdn line.

ISDN DDR includes the following settings
1. ISDN switch type
2. ISDN interface IP
3. ISDN interface encapsulation for PPP
4. PPP authentication and parameters
5. Static route of remote site (You can set the distance to 130)
6. Interesting packet definition
ex.(config)#dialer list 8 protocol ip list 168
(config)#access-list 168 permit tcp any any eq 80
(config)#interface bri 0/0
(config-if)#dialer group 8
7. Dialer information of remote router
