Is there a way that in Unity, when a user sends an e-mail that could not be delivered to a recipient it does not leave a message on the users voicemail about a failed delivery notification?

I don't know of a way that Unity could notify the user via the voice mailbox of an NDR for the failed delivery of an e-mail.
The closest that I think you could get would be to configure the subscriber for TTS and Unity would be able to play back e-mails, including NDRs.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
I apologize for not answering your question-- I misread it.
In Tools Depot, Administration Tools, Advanced Settings Tool, in the Conversation section, you have the option for Exchange integrations to "Conversation - Exclude all receipts from voice mail stack (Exchange only)" or to "Conversation - Exclude return receipts from voice mail stack (Exchange only)".
I hope this answers your question.

yes I think so.
I think you are looking for exlude reciepts. There are 2 settings.
Desktop > tools depot > administration tools > advanced settings tool.
Try it.
