Deployment of Lightweight Wireless solution on a Routed Access Layer

I am designing my enterprise Network to be fully routed at the different layers, i.e: I will make the Access Layer Routed Access, All access switches will be layer 3 and connections to the distribution layer will be layer 3 links. I know that this deployment requires that each switch has its local vlans and vlan span the Network. The question is: how can I deploy lightweight APs on the access switches in this case?

Hi Friend,

LWAPP APs will get an ip address in whichever vlan you connect them and all they need to know is WLC management ip address. So you have to return WLC management ip address via DHCP option 43 and once AP gets that information then all depends on your routing table how to reach WLC.

Please come back if you have more doubts.

Regards,

Ankur
