Request TimeOut through a running VPN Tunnel

Hi all

I have a Router --> ASA test environment connected directly to each other, i have configured an IPSec Lan2Lan VPN and the tunnel is up and running, the problem is that the tunnel is very very slow. when i ping between two machines one behind the router and the other behind the ASA, i get two replies and two timeouts.

Can you please help me, i need to get replies all the time.

There could be number of reasons for this . Most common issue happens to be MTU. Try reducing the MTU using ip tcp mss adjust command on the internal interfaces.
