ASA appliance sync's NTP OK, then indicates "no sync"

I am at a Customer site today and am having a bizarre NTP issue occur.

The customers outside Perimeter Firewall gets his NTP time from the Border Router (which syncs to tick and tock).

I ran debug ntp events/debug ntp packets on the ASA, it gets a message indicating it synced just fine to the server.

When I do a "sho ntp status" on the ASA however, it shows unsyncronized...

This seems very bizarre... any input would be helpful.

Perhaps I am missing a command somewhere....

The bug id is CSCdx34174 which says - "NTP with authentication may

not work after reboot. Need to re-configure NTP authentication again as work-around.

So could you please make the remove this command from the configuration first and check?

If this action cannot bring improvement,please remove all the ntp configuration and reconfigure it.

If it cannot work yet,Please collect information using the following commands

show ntp status

show ntp assoc det

debug ntp packet

debug ntp validity

debug ntp sync
