According to the notice below, the 1.1 Ciscoview embedded on the 6500 is EOS/EOL. What is the explanation? Is there no replacement product for free besides LMS? The announcement doesn't make it clear what the migration paths are.
Clearly LMS is a migration path. That's what the TAC has been telling customers that ask. However, as the document says, it may benefit you to contact your sales channel to see if there are other upcoming avenues you could take advantage of.
