802.1x authentication... why it doesnt reauthenticate after restart?

when a computer firstly connects to network it asks prompts for user pass for 802.1x authentication. but after restarting the computer or logging off and logging in again it doesnt prompt. when I check the cisco ACS for passed authentications I see that the user pass which I entered firstly used again for authentication. Does it secure? wont it be ask user pass again? does windows xp stores the username and pass somewhere? how should I make it will ask for user pass?

This is expected behavior due to the use of cached credentials.

Would recommend you perform machine authentication as well as user authentication. This allows the pc to be connected to the network prior to the user logging in. Otherwise the client will login

with cached credentials, and you lose the machine scripts and the login

scripts.

This is indeed a Windows problem. In Vista you can select the option "Cache user information for subsequent connections to this network".
