Trouble with 2821 and VIC2-4FXO

I have a 2821 with a VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1= and a VIC2-4FXO. I have my T1 working inbound and outbound but cannot get inbound calls working on the FXO ports. The call rings once, then goes to dial tone. The follow error is received.

*Nov 6 23:06:23.822: //-1/xxxxxxxxxxxx/RXRULE/regxrule_get_profile_from_trunkgroup_internal: Voice port 0x450E38CC does not belong to any trunk group

*Nov 6 23:06:23.826: //-1/BA99D137800E/RXRULE/regxrule_stack_pop_RegXruleNumInfo: stack=0x455F7A44; count=1

*Nov 6 23:06:23.826: //-1/BA99D137800E/RXRULE/regxrule_get_profile_from_dialpeer_internal: Error: Invalid input peer_tag=0 direction=incoming

*Nov 6 23:06:23.826: //-1/BA99D137800E/RXRULE/regxrule_stack_push_RegXruleNumInfo: stack=0x455F7A44; count=0

I am not sure what the inbound digits are on that line so do I need to create a catch all dial-peer and if so how do I do that?

Thanks in advance.

Adam

Simply create a dial-peer with a session target for your CallManager with destination pattern of the opx number. For example.

voice-port 0/2/0

trunk-group VIC2-4FXO

connection plar opx 6750

caller-id enable

!

dial-peer voice 1000 voip

description *** CallManager Pattern ***

preference 1

destination-pattern 6...

translate-outgoing calling 1

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

session target ipv4:192.168.1.1

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

no vad

!

dial-peer voice 1001 voip

description *** CallManager Pattern ***

preference 2

destination-pattern 6...

translate-outgoing calling 1

voice-class codec 1

session target ipv4:192.168.1.2

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

no vad

!

Hi,

this would be your catch-all incoming DP to avoid secondary dialtone:

dial-peer voice 111 pots

incoming called-number ...

direct-inward-dial

and this is how you group lines for outgoing, ad direct inbound:

voice-port X/0

trunk-group pstn

connection plar opx 222

voice-port X/1

trunk-group pstn

connection plar opx 222

dial-peer voice 222 pots

destination-pattern 9T

trunkgroup pstn

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Thanks! My goal is to use the T1 for all outbound calls, while accepting calls from the FXOs and the T1.

The following...

voice-port 0/1/0

trunk-group pstn

connection plar opx 222

got rid of the secondary dialtone.

How do I take calls from just that FXO port and send to a device within CCM? I am used to using the destination-pattern 5... (example) to send the call and then using a translation pattern to mp the incoming digets to an extension.

Thanks again!

Adam

voice-port 0/2/0

translate-outgoing calling 1

voice-class codec 1

voice-class h323 1

session target ipv4:192.168.1.1

dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric

no vad
