Call Forward CCM 5 and 7940 SIP Phones

Hi there,

We are trying to have the call forward feature working using 7940 SIP phones and call manager 5.1.

The problem is that if we try to call a phone that was set to forward all its incoming calls to another number, via the "CFwdALL" button, we get a "reorder" error message on the calling phone.

But if we set the phone to forward all its incoming calls using the "Directory Number Configuration" on CCM5 , everything works fine.

Any idea on why we have that behaviour ?

Also, according to the traces, this is what happens :

Phone A tries to call Phone B which is configured via the softkey "CFwdAll" to forward all its incoming calls to Phone C.

- Phone A sends a SIP invite to CCM5

- CCM sends this SIP invite to Phone B

- Phone B replies with a "302 moved temporarily"

- CCM sends a SIP "503 service unavailable"

It works now.

We forgot to select the appropriate CSS in "Rerouting Calling Search Space" on the Phone Configuration page.
