Better book than Cisco Press ?

Unanswered Question

have failed my ICND test several times with a close score. It would be helpful if I could find a book that explains network and troubleshooting examples in a straightforward way more so than the Cisco Press book? I'll be taking the ICND2 fairly soon.

I have this problem too.

Read Wendell Odom

CCENT/CCNA ICND1 Official Exam Certification Guide, Second Edition

CCNA ICND2 Exam Certification Guide, Second Edition

This is the best books for preparing for ccna.

After i read it and took some practice in testking i had passed 640-801 with 1000/1000/ result score.

Also, because now 640-802 is actual exam i strongly recommend you to buy this books. This new books contain a lot of information about troubleshooting questions about that you could encounter in exam.

The sybex ccna books/materials by Lammle have a strong following. I used his books twice to pass the ccna on first try (certs expired at one point). After the ccna though, stick with cisco press.

I always felt that these books explained things much better, especially if most of the technology was new to the student.
