Some clients cannot access LAN resources

I am using a PIX 515E firewall with VPN capabilities. I have my CEO on travel and they cannot see the LAN nor connect to the exchange server via Outlook. Everything times out. I can see them and can ping them sometimes. We do not use NAT, the IP address pool is on a different range than the LAN. One is 216.100.xxx.xxx and one is 207.212.xxx.xxx. I cannot duplicate the scenario. Any ideas where to look?

What version of code are you running on your PIX? How is your DNS configured? since you are not doing NAT, have you clicked on

"Enable traffic through the firewall without address translation"

in the ASDM under NAT?
