Howto traditional Private Line Key?

Unanswered Question

One of our customers has migrated from a small Nortel PBX to a full enterprise Cisco IP solution. His old system was configured with a Private Line Key on a M2616 telset. This was a dedicated key to a private CO trunk. This key would ring in to the set and appear on the line key as well as this trunk was isolated to the set as a private line. Not a ring down line or circuit. By depressing the private key dialtone from the PSTN was extended without having to dial the access code digit 9. This private line was not associated with any line pool and thus in reality was private to the local set.

Can this be acheived in the dial plan using a search space or any other method and if so how? I am unable to find any documentation for this type of dial plan application in regards to a Cisco implementaion.

Many Thanks,

Rob Boyko,

TELUS Communications Inc.

I have this problem too.
