Primary PIX on standby? Why?

Hi

I noticed our Primary PIX has gone into standby mode and the Secondary PIX has become active. I'm not too sure what has caused it to go on standby. Could you please advice how I should check to see why it's gone into standby mode? Please help.

If perhaps one of the monitored interfaces on the primary lost connectivity and/or heartbeats were not received within the configured time period, your secondary PIX would take over.

To check the reason why the unit failed-over to the secondary you can run 'show failover' and see what the reason was. Here is some more good documentation on this:
