Cannot PING VLAN interface

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate VLAN on Boson. I try to configure 3550 switch to handle inter-vlan routing. I configure 1 vlan. Vlan100. then i put an ip add on that vlan. then i try to connect 1 2950 switch in that vlan. then connect 1 pc. but when i try to ping the vlan coming from the pc. i cant ping it. i check the ip address that i use in the pc and also in the vlan. they are on thesame network. but y cant i ping the vlan ip and also from the switch to the pc host. any suggestion?

Did you remember to create the layer-2 VLAN? If you do a show vlan, does VLAN 100 appear in the list?

If VLAN 100 does exist at layer-2, try show mac-address vlan 100. You should see both the PC and the router.

Also, try a show spanning-tree vlan 100 and see if it has all the ports you are expecting.
