Hi all,
I have a very weird problem with a 6506 connecting to a 3750 over single mode fibre.
The connection is single mode fibre using LX/LH Gbics. When i try to connect using the 6506 the connection shows as down/down. If i replace the 6506 with a 3560 - remove the g-bic and patch lead, and plug it into 3560 and it works.
So fibre is ok, gbic is ok, fibre patch leads are ok. I have tried various ports on the 6506 but all the same. I have one working link of similar setup working on the same card on the 6506.
Ports are all setup identically.
Any ideas guys??

One of the GBICs might be marginal. Have you tried replacing them?
I know you say they are all set up the same, but could you post the configs of all 4 ports concerned?

I haven't tried replacing the gbics.
There is also a second link to a 6509, which doesn't connect either but connects to the 3560.
Here are the configs
6506:
Int G1/14
description To 3750
switchport
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 27,39,43,60,78,304
switchport mode trunk
no ip address
Int G1/13
description to 6509
switchport
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 15,27,28,39,145,302
switchport mode trunk
no ip address
3750:
description To 6506 G1/14
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 27,39,43,60,78,304
switchport mode trunk
6509:
set port name 1/2 Link to 6506
set trunk on dot1q 15,27-28,39,145,302
