Is there an effective way to have vendor access for support via dial up modem, pass through an additional access poitn for enhanced security?

What about having the connectivity logged, is there a way to do that?

dialup clients use Terminal Access Controller Access Control System (TACACS+) through this you can achive your security needs .for this you need minimum requirements are

Make sure dial-in works.

When the modem can connect and authenticate locally, turn on TACACS+.

Finally, test authentication to ensure that you can connect and authenticate through TACACS+, and turn on authorization.

We have a TACACS box, but the vendors are connecting directly to the Mainframe, or EMC SAN when they connect.
