Good day, our company has a new CCME3845 Router and we want to know the difference of NM-HDV2-1T1/E1 and VWIC-1MFT-E1 before we place an order of this module.

The VWIC is a card that goes in one of the HWIC slots and uses the DSPs (PVDM2 modules) on the router motherboard.
The NM-HDV2-1T1/E1 is a card that goes in the network module slot, uses DSPs from the NM-HDV2 card (and maybe from the router motherboard--I forgot.) Has a built-in T1/E1 port and an empty VWIC slot to take an additional, say VWIC-1MFT-E1 card.
I think you have to order at least one PVDM2-32 module for the HDV2-1T1/E1 card. I don't think the PVDM comes with it.
I would order the VWIC-1MFT-E1 card unless those HWIC slots are used up or you plan to use them up in the future. I don't have the full picture of what you are doing, what you want to do and what you plan for the future.

To add to the great explanation given above, consider that unless purchased initially or within a bundle, the ISR routers ships without PVDM2 DSP, so you want to check with "show diag", and order them as necessary, for the number of voice channels you need to support. Available sizes, are 8, 16, 32 and 64.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Mahmoud,
Nice to meet you. I see you are in safe hands here.
Basically if you have 3800 series router then please do not bother to buy the NM-HDV2-1T1/E1 since you have HWIC slots onboard. You just need to purchase VWIC-1MFT-E1 or VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1. The first link you must go through is this one:
<http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps5365/products_data_sheet09186a0080191d41.html>
The second link I strongly recommend you go through is here:
If you have purchased a CCME bundled router it is likely you have PVDM's (aka DSP's) onboard as previously mentioned. The first link will make it clear to you I hope.
best regards
Ajaz
