Dear Guys
i am having pix 525 which i want to remove and configure from starting by using 7.0 or any ios after 7.0 so plz help me how should i design and configure
the firewall and we are having one internet router,coreswitch,datacenterswitch where shoul i connect the inside interface of pix to the core or to the datacenter switch.
we are running eigrp in complete network with complete layer 3 arcitecture
so plz help

PIX is a edge device so this is connected to the external network. For a client computer to connect to the Internet, the IP address of the client on the PIX inside interface must be translated to the IP address of the PIX outside interface. The IP address of the PIX outside interface is the globally routable IP address.
Use these commands to accomplish this task:
nat (inside) 1
global (outside) 1 interface

Also, I don't think EIGRP is available in Pix/ASA v7.x code, it has to be 8.x minimum.
