Dear All,

I would like to know whether the host can reach L3 switch in the below scenarioa.

L3 ---- Trunk Link ---- L2--- host

L3 config :

Int valn 4

ip address

int g0/1

switchport mode trunk

L2 config:

int vlan 1

ip adddress

int f0/1

switchport mode trunk

ip default-gateway

If I connect host on L2, which is in vlan 1 ( is it possible to ping L3 ip address.

if the access port belongs to vlan 4 then yes.

As ohassairi said, in order that PC can ping L3 the host port in L2 should be in vlan 4.

but your L2 will still not be able to ping its default gateway.

you can assign to vlan1 instead.
