Bandwidth and/or Latency Issues on Cisco Phones

I've gotten several emails from one of our users complaining about sporadic VOIP crackling & drop outs on calls. This may also be causing pc issues with internet locks up, because our pc's utilitze the network port of the phone. I already have QOS in place on the switch to assist in this.

Any other suggestions, or things I could adjust to help with the current problem.

I have this problem too.

suggest you upgrade to 8.2(2)SR4 and try again.

You can access the package compatible with the version of your CCM from "voice - 7900 series phones". Of course this requires customer level access to CCO (service contract).

Our Callmanagers are at 3.3 right now, will it still work with this version?

We are in the process of upgrading all of them to 4.2. Should I wait or upgrade the phones?

I would upgrade CM first, to the latest SR available. That should include upgrade for the phones FW as well.
