Hai there...need some guideline.

current setup i have 8 branch and 8 E1 line connecting to HQ (4 router which have 2E1 port each).

iam thinking to replace all the 4 router at HQ with only 1 new router.

my question,

what is the best solution, do i need to have 8E1 port on this new router or is there a way i can minimize the E1 port? can i create subinterface i E1 port?

i dont want to use frame relay as i need 2M dedicated lease line to branch.

please do help me TQ

Hi

You can think about going on for Cisco 2811 or

Cisco 2821 or Cisco 2851 series router with HWIC-4T cards to have your E1 links terminated onto them.

regds

does HWIC card support E1..PPP?

what is the different WIC,HSWIC,VWIC...does all the card support E1...

can i used my fast eth port as my wan port? emm confuse right now..please help me...

Hi,

As indicated above, use 2 x hwic-4t with external E1 DSU.

Or, 4 x vwic-2mft-e1 without external DSU.

The other card are not applicable to your needs.
