hello,

I have a question on how to configure that the same call goes and gets back over the same B (bearer) chanell in dial-peer pots configuration and what the configuration steps to achieve this would be?

Thanks in advance

Milos

Hi,

the call cannot go back in the same B channel, because the latter is busy with the inbound call when making a new call.

Please explain what you are trying to achieve in doing that.

thank you very much!

best regards

There has to be differet inbound and outbound bearer channels, whether its gateway or tandem switch.

Hence the configuration for dial peer pot for call on one B channel is not possible.

If need, config for dial peer in normal case, let us know.

Thanks Zubair,

I know how the dial-peer pots configuration in normal case should go.

Dilemma was whether and if it's possible to have that call back over the same bearer channel and how to enable loopback for that very channel.

Purpose of doing that was as follows:

customer should do bit error rate test with local telecom.

Local telecom is looking for the following:

1. telecom calling some number

2. customer Cisco AS5350 should send back that call via same channel, not via new channel

this is from Telecom tests table:

BER test (preferable 1 hour) according to G.821 parameters (loop back on BRA).

Have a nice day

Hi milosh,

Kindly note that transmission BER test is one thing and call testing is another thing.

Are you considering BRA test on PRA with as5350?

By the way, did local telecom indicate which particular test they want to carry out, call test scenario with the anticipated outcome are usually given in the ITU recommendations.

Have a nice day!

Zubair
